In June of 1982, Edward Spicuzza joined the US Navy and began his maritime career. He extended his career in June of 1994 when he stepped on the deck of his first Great Lakes iron ore carrier, the M.V. Paul Thayer.

Ed and his photography have been featured in diverse film projects and television programs, which include MSNBC, CNN, FOX 2 NEWS, The Discovery Channel, and The History Channel. Ed has photographed and videoed the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition, founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Additionally, he is one of the few individuals allowed to video and photograph from the top of Michigan’s five mile long Mackinaw Bridge.

Ed has also been published in various magazines and newspapers including Muscular Development Magazine. In addition, he has created hundreds of artistic glass and mirrors etchings that have been exhibited and sold from New York to California. He has donated numerous pieces of art to the NYPD, PAPD, and FDNY as a tribute to the lives lost on September 11, 2001. One of his mirrors is currently on display with the World Trade Center Traveling Memorial.

However it his unique experience as a Merchant Marine that has led him to turn his nautical eye to the production of this distinctive anthology. Ed has captured scenes that most people will never see in their lifetime.

Ed has been working hard on a new book and is proud to announce that he is in the beginning of the final stages of preparation before sending it out for publishing. The new 64 page coffee table/picture book is titled, "The Great Lakes Adventure: The Journey Begins " and will retail for $24.95.
